Ayda's Story

Ayda Abdelsayed was struck and critically injured on April 8, 2017 by a hit and run driver in the 3100 block of Hamilton Church Road.  Ayda Abdelsayed, 55, was crossing toward St. Pishoy Coptic Orthodox Church on a Saturday morning at 7:45 a.m. when she was struck by an eastbound small black car with a Tennessee license plate. After the collision, the car stopped briefly then drove off.  Abdelsayed, of Cedar Cliff Road, was not in a crosswalk. She was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she died.  Anyone with information about the vehicle and/or its driver is urged to contact the Emergency Communications Center at 862-8600, Hit & Run investigators at 862-7713 or Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.

 
 

How She Was Lost
